Leaders from three traditional gaming giants, Kingsoft CEO Zou Tao, Kunlun Web CEO Zhou Yahui and Guangyu Games President Song Yang, have all confirmed participation at GMGC 2013, and will participate in a panel discussion entitled “Traditional Firms in a Transitional Industry.”
Zou Tao is currently the Senior Vice President of Kingsoft Online and Westhouse Limited, including its subsidiary operations, such as Westhouse Games. In 1997, he graduated from Nankai University in Tianjin and joined Kingsoft in 1998, where he was largely responsible for the success of the business today. He became SVP in December 2007, and began serving as executive director in August 2009.
Zhou Yahui is the founder of Kunlun Web, and currently serves as chairman, CEO and president. He earned his Master's degree in precision instruments from Tsinghua University in 2000. He has founded what is now the largest domestic original animation website, the Vulcan Cartoon Network (Huo Shen Wang). In 2005, he joined China InterActive Corp. as Senior Director and Vice President before founding Kunlun Web in 2007 where he continues today to serve as Chairman of the Board and CEO.
Song Yang is the president of Guangyu Games. Guangyu Games is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the famous electrical company, Guangyu International Group (1043.HK), and is within the top five online gaming platforms in China. Song Yang graduated from London University with a Master's degree in management. Upon returning to the online gaming industry, he was responsible for R&D at Guangyu's Shenzhen studio, and then in 2009 was transferred to the Beijing headquarters to serve as Vice President. Song Yang won China's animation and game industry's Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2012, and is widely regarded as a cutting-edge leader in the online gaming industry.
